8kn straps

Today me and Keron finished off the centre ceiling brace and the we fixed on 8kn connector plates to the roof.

Today we unsrewed this steel shed and straped them up and put it away for the next class to build it. After i done that i went back on site to help mason and sonny to fix the out riggers on to the fly rafters.

Today we finished off the scaffolding and finally put the planks up.

Scaffolding

Today all on site setting up the scaffolds,we separated and half of the boys started setting out the length of the house while me,pereri,afe,zeethan,mana and

charles finished off what we stared yesterday. First we made sure all the poles had soul plates underneath and made sure that the poles were straight then after that we put the brace for the bottom on then after that  we put the put-logs on to straighten the whole scaffold.

Today we put up our Ceiling Batterns up The other Boys pu up the Batterns While Marty Taught me,pereri and erin hoe to set a scafold.

Today we learnt how to set out a wall frame on site. I learned that its is better to mark both top and bottom plate together when laminated to have correct measurements when nailing in the studs.

Today we finished off richards flooring while Marty marked out where our wall frames goes, Once we finished marking we set up the walls according to the plan, and then used a straight edge to square the corners. Then finaly when the wall frames wer up all the boys nailed the frames together and then left me and erin  with the straight edge to square all the corners of the  frames.

today was happy to finish off the flooring thanks to marty for showing us our values to pump the boys to work harder.Once we finnished the flooring we help richard with their floorong.

Starting on noggs

Today was finishing the floor joist and getting on to noogings, measuring the noggs and then cutting it on the drop saw.

Today was just continueing with the Floor joist.

Today we wer fixing our joist onto our bearers but first we layed it down according to the plan seperating our wet areas to our dry areas to make evrything easier.

Today we straighten the bearers using a string line that was tied on a nail on 1 side of the building and then it  was run down the length of the building to the other end and tied on a nail there then the bearers we straighten.

Today we fixed the jack studs to the sole plate after that we laminated the bearers together then fixed the bearers onto the jack studs.

TOOL USED. Drop saw, hand saw, nails, hammer, level, saw stool, dumpylevel, combination square, 1m ruler, measuring tape, skill saw, pencil.

Today we learnt how to use a dumpylevel, and practise how to set up levels for the (F.F.L) and how to find the corner of the house.

Today we had a site safe trannier come in and teach our class the information in how to keep ourself safe in any site aswel as keeping others safe.

Today we learnt ways of saving other peoples life but insureing that the area is clear from danger for our own welbeing,For example when a persons in a fire first insure your own safety then save the person then tret him like the example on this video.

Today we learnt how to safely rescue and save someones life when in danger useing C.P.R,CPR IS USED BY EVERYONE WHEN IT COMES TO RESTARTING THE HEART CIRCULATION AND RESPIRATION.FOX EXAMPLE IN THE VIDEO ABOVE.

TECHNICAL DRAWING

 

Today we learnt how to draw to scale from louise in room 84, first we had to go threw plans and elevations

of  a house and talk about the basic symbols used in technical drawings. After that we got our papers and

 we had to draw elevations of a brick jst to get used to drawing and we have to hand it in on the 6th

of April.

Today i was chiseling the angel 1:3 foe the legs to fit in after that i cut the angels for the legs then fixed the legs in to the top of the stool then hammered it in now the only thing that is left is the cleats.
